Historic Ted Shawn Theatre Enters a New Age
After Flansburgh’s successful design of the Perles Family Studio, Jacob’s Pillow selected the Flansburgh team for its next major project, the renovation and expansion of the historic Ted Shawn Theatre. The renovation will preserve the wood, post and beam structure of the original structure while inserting a new steel structure and rigging to support the world’s most innovative dance productions. The building’s iconic barn doors will remain, maintaining the audience's enduring connection to the outdoors.
