Jacob's Pillow Project Named One of "15 Simply Amazing Wood Interiors"
The Flansburgh-designed Perles Family Studio at Jacob's Pillow Dance is among the "15 Simply Amazing Wood Interiors" recently honored by Interior Design magazine. The project was also featured last year in the magazine's February 2018 issue. Along with the 14 other honored projects that "range from a movie theater and a win shop to a noodle house and corporate headquarters," Perles Family Studio is recognized for "mak[ing] exception use of wood elements." The following is an excerpt of Interior Design's assessment of Flansburgh's design.
Douglas fir, pine, and stained maple flooring unite traditional wood and modern glass construction, giving the illusion of an expansive open-air performance space to this dance school in Beckett, MA.
