Esperanza Academy Celebrates Ground Blessing and Beam Signing

May 29, 2025 |

Team members from Flansburgh Architects proudly participated in Esperanza Academy’s Ground Blessing and Beam Signing Ceremony, celebrating a major milestone in the construction of the school's new facility. The event honored the school’s inspiring journey from vision to reality, featuring a land acknowledgment and the symbolic signing of a structural beam by students, faculty, donors, local government and various stakeholders. The signed beam will be permanently placed within the framework of Esperanza’s new facility.

Esperanza Academy, a tuition-free independent school for girls in Lawrence, MA, is rooted in racial and cultural identity, restorative justice, and community love. The new building will support its historic mission to become the first tuition-free, K–8, all-girls private school in the nation.

We are proud to be part of this transformative project along with our partners the Esperanza Community, Scalora Consulting Group and Windover Construction.
